The Oxrose Academy Health & Nutrition course is a half-credit course required for high school graduation. The course combines our Christian understanding of the human person as body and soul to explore healthy living habits within a Catholic worldview. This is a project-based course that engages students to put into practice real-life habits and that places the student in conversation with his or her parents about healthy choices in life. For example,  students will evaluate their eating habits, will create an individualized exercise plan, will create their own first-aid kit, and other projects that put into effect what they are learning.

Course Description: This course combines tools for testing and tracking physical fitness and athletic participation with easy learning modules covering health, fitness, and sportsmanship, as well as virtue in sports and the theology of sports. It allows the student to easily document participation in his athletic activities in order to fulfil the state requirements for physical education, while learning how to think about health and sport from a Catholic, Thomistic perspective. Learning modules include video and quiz components. Students may complete either a half or a whole credit, using the suite.

Course Description: Think of this as a mini-course on chess; it is recommended as a six-week program, that incorporates strategy concepts, games, exercises, and weekly homework, as well as free opportunities for tournaments. This is good for players in grades 6-12.
