Map Work
One parent asked about teaching the 4th-6th Grade History Maps at home if you are not familiar with geography yourself. Several resources were recommended:
- Geographic Dictionary ~ You can usually check one out from the Library.
- Home Geography by Long ~ In the Digital Suite
- Usborne Geography Encyclopedia & World Atlas
- A World Atlas
Most of the time, you do not need an extra resource for completing Map Assignments, but at times, part of the assignment will ask students to “define” a geography term. The above resources will help immensely if you are not familiar with how to define such terms.
